Are you the "out of sight, out of mind" type where all your documents must be in plain view or are you the "clean desk" type? I wish I were the latter, but rather than be someone I am not, I find clever ways to make my workstation as neat as possible while satisfying my need to have everything I need at arms reach. I am a sucker for organizational tools like colorful folders, stickers, hanging files. To me they are like my toys. I don't know how I acquired this office organizational fetish but everyone has their quirks. For those office workers like me who cannot keep things tucked away in a drawer, this is the place for you. I can help you to keep your workstation neat and professional without losing anything.

It Is Time To Color, But I Am Not Ready Yet
Well, my roots have been showing for nearly three weeks now and I have a box of haircolor in my vanity cabinet just waiting for me to break it out and start coloring my hair. For some odd reason, I can't seem to get myself to fuse the three colors I am currently showing (black, white, and brown), the first two being natural. I am sure that I am not the only one who ever felt that hair coloring is something I would rather put off, but I don't think I can hold off any longer. Oh well, I will have to squeeze it in...this weekend. Too much to do right now.

Loving Going Out With My Family
My brother is visiting from NYC this week and this evening we will be dining at the Olive Garden. The last time we went was back in February to celebrate my mother & my son's birthdays (they are 3 days apart). We had the best time with lots of laughs and no stress. I'm glad we are going again and I hope that even in the economic situation, we can at least celebrate each other more often than dining in, which we do nearly every night. It is those special memories whenever we dine out as a family that linger all of our lives. I plan to eat a lot and frankly I don't care who knows it. That's freedom...to live, love, and laugh!

Launched New Radio Show
Sorry so long between posts. I'm a busy bee these days. I want to announce my new radio show by the same name on the Blog Talk Radio network. Sometimes the flow of words comes out better through talk than through written words.
I have not yet set a schedule but I do know that I will begin small with a once a week 15-30 minute show and grow from there. Once I select the best day of the week I will post it here.
Please subscribe for the latest updates. I am very excited about my show's launch coming soon. Stay tuned!

Five Dollar Foot-Long, Walking, and Me
I can't believe I let more than seven months go by without a post. Where did the time go? Well, I am glad to be back. About the title, well, I thought I would share. Over the last few months I managed to gain quite a bit of weight. Even after the holidays I couldn't seem to get motivated. A couple of weeks ago I finally started walking for a mere 20 minutes as best as I could during my lunch break. Around the time I started the walking, my co-worker started going to Subway for the $5 foot-long. He asked if I wanted anything...so...I asked him to pick up a veggie sub on whole wheat. We split it in half and, we were very pleasantly surprised how un-deprived we felt. After a week of eating a half veggie sub and walking each day, I lost two pounds. For some that amount is probably not a big deal but to me it was a victory!
